Happy Birthday Claire--Finally!

I am finally able to sit at the computer for a while so I can get back to posting! My ankle is doing great. I am walking on it and getting around just fine. I have to ice it several times a day and be careful with it, but it seems to be healing quickly.

Claire just turned 9--I can't believe it! It has already been a year since her baptism. I wanted to post a picture of it since I didn't have the blog last year. She already looks so much older!


I made big flower cookies for Claire's class for her birthday. I think she enjoys that part even more than the party! She loves to be in charge and get to pass out treats. These are her good friends and the boy that likes her--a lot. He's never too far away from Claire if he can help it!


She does love friends, so she decided (with very little prompting from me!) to have an old fashioned, regular ol' birthday party. No theme, no gift bags, no characters, just friends, food, and fun! (How cheesy am I?) The girls made individual pizzas, watched a movie, ate cake and ice-cream, and just had a great time.


Claire made up a couple of games for them to play, on the spot, like guessing how many petals were on each cupcake (150, by the way), and an introduce and tell about yourself game. She really thrives on being in front of a group and being in charge. I hope that's a good thing!


I had to post this one of her opening presents from my parents, because Ellie was just as excited as Claire was! They gave Claire "Enchanted" and now Ellie wants to watch it every day.

So happy birthday to our little girl! She's as sweet and adorable as ever, just not so chunky!
