Happy Birthday Mom! (and happy late birthday to Dad!)

Happy Birthday to the Best-Mom-in-the-World! Dad's birthday was while I was in Utah, so this is a double-duty birthday wish. It usually ends up that way, doesn't it? :)

I was so lucky and blessed to be raised by two great parents and continue to be blessed by the relationship that we have now that I'm all grown up. They love me and my whole family so much. I couldn't ask for better grandparents for my kids. They are great examples of service to family and others. They have strong testimonies of Jesus Christ and live accordingly. They have a great relationship with each other and have always been great examples to me of a loving, fun marriage. And to top it all off, isn't she beautiful? That's another blessing--hopefully I've got her genes for beauty and few wrinkles! Can you believe she's 62? Sorry Mom, but you look so good, I just had to tell.

Dad looks pretty good himself, but I'm depending on Mom's genes to keep my hair! I'll take Dad's physical abilities, though. For an "old guy" he's still in great shape! He's taking all the boys in the family on a backpacking/camping trip next weekend. He loves the outdoors and any activities that keep him young. He even tried wake-surfing last summer with Garrett. I want to be like you when I grow up!

Thank you for being such great parents and teaching me how to be a good person, a good mom and a good wife (even if Garrett has to do his own ironing). I love both of you so much!

Happy Birthday Amy's parents! Amy tells me so many good things about you! If my children have half as many good things to say about Paul and I ....I will know we were great parent.
