I made a Captain Moroni paper doll for my Primary lesson yesterday complete with all his armor in separate pieces for an "Armor of God" lesson. Ellie was infatuated with it and asked to play with it after church. She was laying on the floor playing with the pieces when I thought, why have I never made her paper dolls? So I got online and found a cute one (that I didn't have to color, unlike Captain Moroni!) and spent a little time printing, cutting and laminating. She loves it! I found another really cute one with lots of clothes that I'm going to print and cut in the car on our way to Utah. What a perfect car and church activity, because it's flat! Here's the link for anyone who wants to print some. This one I found happens to be an LDS paper doll, although it's quite non-demoninational! It has lots of clothes, costumes, and fun dress up stuff. Hours of cheap fun!

Fun Stuff
I haven't posted any pictures in a while because I haven't taken any in a while! I keep forgetting to take it with me when we go places. So here are a few from around the house for your entertainment.
Claire had two fillings, two teeth pulled, and her brackets moved all in one visit, so her mouth was quite numb. I took this picture after her bath--she was cracking us up with her lopsided grin!Claire and Taylen entertained themselves the other day by playing dress up--with Anson! Garrett was horrified by this picture, but Anson loved the attention. He loves having things in his hair. When I did Ellie's hair for the 4th of July, he wanted decorations too, so he got a bunch of star clips in his hair. Come on, they're just decorations! Maybe the fancy pink clothes are a little much.
During lunch today Anson tooted, so I said, "What do you say?" And he says, "Thank you." We all started to giggle, all except Ellie, who says, "Anson, thank you isn't for toots. Ony (only) 'scuse me is for toots!"
Anson is very into doing things "by myself" lately, including getting into his bed. You can see that he's very pleased by this. He's such a darn cute kid. Good thing, because he can be just a bit rotten sometimes! And by the way, Garrett won't let me cut Anson or Coleman's hair, so blame the shag on Dad! He thinks they look like surfers. I think they just look like they need a hair cut. You be the judge.

Update on Ellie
Thanks for all the concern shown for Elisabeth and her ER visit. Dr. Jones came back to town and listened to everything that happened with Ellie and said, "I don't think she even had a UTI." Isn't that great. A trip to Children's Hospital is bad enough, but to find out it was unnecessary is just annoying. He looked at all her numbers from the hospital, etc. and said she just had a viral fever that caused the symptoms. So I guess I'm not so stupid for not recognizing it after all. Just stupid for ever taking her to anyone else. Next time I'll just give them Tylenol until he comes home!

Exciting Events
So, first things first--George the Giant, our personal friend and world-famous sword swallower :) was on America's Got Talent last week! The kids were very excited to see him since they had just seen him in person. I was surprised that they put him through actually. We'll be watching his progress!
Ellie had a little visit to Valley Children's Hospital last week. I finally took her to the doctor after 3 weeks or so of a fever on and off. Sometimes she told me her side hurt, but it never lasted and it wasn't in the appendix area, so I wasn't concerned. But then she had pain when she went to the bathroom, so I suspected a bladder or kidney infection. The doctor we saw (Dr. Jones, pediatrician extraordinaire, was out of town) wanted her to go to the hospital for "further evaluation" because he thought they might want to treat her in the hospital for a few days. Whoa, that wasn't what I was expecting! But luckily they didn't have to keep her. They gave her IV fluids, did blood and urine tests, and decided that she probably didn't have a kidney infection, but did have a pretty good bladder infection. They did a round of IV antibiotic and put her on an oral med for two weeks. I was feeling pretty stupid for letting it go on this long, but I had no idea she had a bladder infection! She never complained of pain when urinating until that day. I thought that was the major symptom! Well, now I know, and now she has to have more tests, etc. done by Dr. Jones because she could have other problems. Poor baby. She actually did really well in the ER, but she wasn't pleased at all about the IV. I don't blame her. Even a giant popsicle couldn't coax her to stop crying for quite a while! Glad we only had to stay a few hours!
