Changes

A very exciting day for Claire yesterday—Braces! Well, they’re not actually braces, just 4 brackets, but to her it’s braces. This morning before school she was making me practice with her how she was going to tell her best friend. She always has these elaborate plans for making announcements to her class. She’s planning to pretend to take a picture of her friend, Taylen, then have her pretend to take Claire’s picture, at which time she will give her a big grin (of course, before this unveiling moment she will have her hand covering her mouth) and Taylen will be appropriately amazed, excited, (jealous?), etc. Maybe the novelty will wear off after a few days of a raw mouth and little balls of wax.

Also, some of you may notice that she has an adorable new haircut. I love her in a bob!

I am posting this picture of Coleman also so Mom can see that we have gone back to his normal haircut. (You’ll have to ignore the fact that he was mad at me at the moment!) Garrett wanted to try another, more current style for a while, but I didn’t like it. So I cut it, and I have to say, I did a pretty darn good job! Better than 99% of the cuts he’s had that weren’t free. Of course, for those other cuts he didn’t have to stand naked and freezing in the bathtub. But hey, I saved us $10!

This picture is for the Burbidge family. Something that you are not likely to see again--Garrett fishing! A guy he hometeaches is obsessed, so we went with his family out to our little ski lakes. Of course, we didn't catch anything because Garrett is cursed (according to him) so he cursed us all. But Coleman was in heaven. His love of fishing was inherited from my side!

And a picture of the little ones when we went to the snow.
